Understanding Game Theory has been an ongoing challenge for me for quite some time. Morrow's Game Theory for Political Scientists is the only textbook I know so far, which gives verbose descriptions and rigid formalizations at the same time. Hence, this book is especially useful for starters in game theory.

In the fifty years since the appearance of von Neumann and Morgenstern's classic Theory of Games and Economic Behavior (Princeton, 1944), game theory has been widely applied to problems in economics.
